Our Organic! Microwavable Children's Heating Pad

Don't you just love it when you find something special? Well that's how Addie and I felt when we discovered this 100% organic heating pad! You see, we were talking with the manufacturer about a totally different product - their Belly Wrap listed elsewhere on these pages - when we spotted this little gem.

"What's this 100% Organic eye pillow?" we asked. "Is it microwavable?"

"Sure," they answered, "but nobody uses eye pillows hot, they use them cold."

"But it's 100% organic cotton on the outside, right? What's on the inside?"

"Flax seed and eucalyptus is in the insert, and yes, the cover is 100% organic cotton."

"And the insert comes out?"

"Yes, so you can wash the cover."

"Perfect!"

You see, once in awhile, we get calls from people with children who have sensitive skin -- the combination of heat, sweat and non-absorbent polyester in some children can cause a rash. And until we found this little beauty, we didn't have anything for those children. Now with the organic cotton, we do!

Also doubles as a kids cold pack, your child will really appreciate not having to freeze their fingers holding one of those blue gel freezer packs or a plastic bag of ice on their boo-boos!

Now the other thing we really like about this pad, is that because it's flat, it will stay on a baby's colic belly better and weighs 50% less than our rounder pads like the seals and fish.

PS: As with all microwavable products, use only with supervision by adults. As these don't come with heating instructions, (the manufacturer sells them as cold pack eye pillows), we tried it in our 1100 watt microwave and 30 seconds kept it warm for half an hour. We would suggest trying yours at 15 second increments (flipping it over each time) until it is right for you.
