A Powerful Gift of Love
While I have wonderful memories of my Grandparents, I realize now that I knew very little about them as real living people. I don't know my Grandmother's favorite color, or what she liked to eat when she was little, or where she got married and if she had flowers... the little details that would have enriched my memories of her.
I wish I had a book like this one. Here's a sampling of the questions she could have answered:
Where was the first home she lived in when she first got married?
When she was little, what did she want do do "when she grew up?"
What was her first job?
And how did she discipline my mother when she was naughty? ☺
Addie and I know that when you came online today, that the last thing you ever expected to look at was a memories book; but as the parents of grown children we encourage you to either get it for yourself, or if your parents are alive, to get it for them... you will never, ever regret having done so.
PS: Up here in the North East, a lot friends and neighbors got flooded, and lost their keepsakes and memorabilia. We wish everyone could have had a few of these memory books spread out among their family.
